Impulse Cooking helps you manage pantry items, appliances, recipes, household collaboration, shopping lists, and optional premium features. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the app and how that information supports the product.

By using the app, you authorize Impulse Cooking to process your information for the purposes described below.

Information we process

Depending on the features you use, we may process:

  • account details such as your email address and authentication identifiers
  • household membership, invites, bans, and collaboration activity
  • pantry items, appliances, shopping lists, cookbook saves, and custom recipes
  • photos and scan inputs you submit for barcode or AI-assisted pantry intake
  • notification tokens and reminder preferences
  • approximate or precise location when you request nearby grocery store results
  • analytics, performance, and diagnostic data used to improve reliability
  • subscription and entitlement state managed through RevenueCat and Google Play

How we use information

We use information to operate the app, including to:

  • authenticate users and restore saved sessions
  • sync household inventory, shopping lists, and collaboration changes
  • generate recipes and provide AI-assisted cooking or scan features
  • send reminders, invite notifications, and operational push notifications
  • measure product usage and diagnose crashes or service failures
  • enforce premium entitlements and subscription access

Third-party services

Impulse Cooking relies on service providers to deliver core functionality:

  • Supabase for data storage, authentication, Edge Functions, and notifications
  • OpenAI and Google Gemini models for supported AI features
  • PostHog for product analytics
  • Sentry for error and crash reporting
  • RevenueCat and Google Play for subscriptions and purchase state

These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the relevant feature or service.

Data retention and controls

We retain account and product data for as long as it is needed to operate the service, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You can request account deletion from the mobile app under Settings > Privacy & Data. You can also contact support for deletion-related requests.
